Dale jr.....changes crew chief

I knew this would be coming soon. I'm not sure if Dale's problems are related to his crew chief or to himself. I'm not even sure why Dale and Mike swapped crew chiefs to begin with. I don't think it's done any good.
 
When I heard about it at the beginning of the season I couldn't believe it. I was wondering why in the world they would want to do this. It just didn't make sense. The "swap" has proven to be a very bad decision and now junior is paying for it. He's not doing that well this year. And to top it all off, he now has an interim crew chief. Things will probably get worse before they get better. Dale needs to get Tony back.
 
the swap was good. jr and the eury's were always arguing abou things. it just wasn't working. they didn't give pete and jr time to gel, and breakin in a new crew cheif is going to take time. i tend to think the cars are the problem and they havnt been able to figure out the new spoiler and tire stuff.

This is entirely possible. Hmmm...

I definitely think the new spoilers could be one of the issues. The spoiler issue will get worse as the weather gets warmer. We'll probably be seeing more wrecks.
 
This seem to start happening when Ty Norrris step down.
Things just were not tight..
I say get Kirk Shilmerdine see if he and JR have any Chemistry.
Get him off the track save him some money.
Read into this and it says the Heiml is a interium CC.. Somebody is coming
at a later time,,
 
Hope Jr has better luck with the change. I knew something had to change soon. Big difference from this year to last at this time. Not sure about the whole crew change during the off season. Best of luck to Jr.
 
I totally disagree with most of you guys. The swap was to enhance performance on both the 15 and 8 teams. It was apparent the Eury Jr and Jr's relationships were starting to grow stale, Jr said that himself on more than one occasion. It looks like the 15's performance has gotten quite the boost from it though. Take it easy guys Jr will be back running up front on a consistent basses before the end of the year.
 
i dont think he can make it up, hes not gunna make the chase this year.... maybe next year, if hes lucky
 
I think he can make the chase. Remember, it ain't just the top ten at the end of race 26..........it's anyone within 400 points! Last year we came close to having 14 cars in the chase. I would not be at all surprised if we see 15 plus in the chase this year!! :D

Besides, he's only 11 points out of the top ten. Lots of racing to go before it's time to write off anyone within that magic number of 400. Everyone seems to be hung up on the top ten.........y'all are selling the chase format a little short. :)
 
huh shadowflames does that have to do with the fact that im a tony stewart fan or you dont like tony stewart?
oh well dales led 5 laps out 3406 this year
 
one must admit, that this new point system is screwing up other drivers by not allowing then to get as much points as they used to before..its like if you're 400 points behind then you can just quit the "chase for the cup" because it ain't gonna happen for you that year so..

^ ahh thats just cause ur a jeffy fan and he woulda won the championship last year in the old system!
i guess its just the drive for five again this year eh?
 
he would've yes, he will? i'm hoping for it, things aren't looking all that bad for him!! he's third in the point standings so we'll have to wait and see.
 
If you are 400 points behind at race the end of race 26 then you can kiss any Championship hopes goodbye until next season! :) But if you are close at the end of race 25 then I would say you give it all you got.........if you don't, then you don't belong in the sport!! Yeah, there are mathematical numbers to work with as race 26 approaches and hope diminishes as the numbers begin to show you ain't gonna make it..........but that was the same back with the old system too!! :D There's always the numbers to say when it's mathematically impossible to win the Championship.......that part hasn't changed one bit. The cut-off just moved forward 10 races is all. No one's getting cheated........in fact it opens up the possibilities for a Championship to more drivers and teams than the old system. And if you are driver or team who gives up because you are more than 400 points out, then I say pack your gear and trailer and make room for someone who deserves a chance to race!!!

By the way, no one in the history of NASCAR racing has gained 400 points in the last ten races to take a Championship.......it's a fair system.
 
why yes its a fair system for the top ten drivers that are in the chase for the championship...lol i mean really, it depends on how you look at it..it could be bad and it could be good

I don't know how anyone can say Jeff would have won the Championship last season. Using a system that was dropped to compare against a system that replaced it..........the way every driver close enough to the top spot would have driven entirely different had the rules been different. It's time to move on.......it's like trying to say an NBA team lost the Championship because the 3 point shot was implimented! The rules are different.......time to accept them or go find something else to cheer about.

^ my point was because of the new point system Busch won it so there fore its good if your a Busch fan.
If your a Jeffy fan its not good cause he would have won it last year.
i never said tony did better last year......

To continue talking about the new crew chief, interesting names have come up, Jimmy Elledge and Robbie Rieser,according to Jayski.com. I hope Jr. can get an experienced crew chief. The switch turned out bad for Junior, good for Mikey, but Mikey doesn't know how to drive well set up cars, he should be doing alot better with what hes got.
 
i thought it was Steve Hmiel thats going to be the crew cheif
 
He's just the interim crew chief. A new one will be hired for next season.
