Dale jr history

I have never looked into dale jrs past to much, and I did not use to watch busch racing until recently. I just wanted to know has he won in anything where he didnt have top of the line equipment?

I AM NOT TRYING TO START ANYTHING HERE, I HAVE NO HIDDEN AGENDA. I just read a topic on another board recently talking about alot of these new young guns, have always had top of the line equipment, thats why I bring this up now.

Yes he always had "good" equipment I would guess. No harm no foul. Gordon fans always took flack from other's saying that "top of the line" or "better equipment" stuff, but Gordon and the 24 team were brand new just like Jr. and the 8. look at Roush in the Busch series and one could say that "anyone" could win in that #60 car. It is what it is.

The IROC series produces some interesting racing and sometimes surprising results.

Darn, I read the title too fast and then had my hopes dashed once I got into the threat.

I thought it said Dale Jr. is history... :p

As to his history, yes he's always had top flight equipment and crew. He went to the best driving schools. etc. He has wanted for nothing.

'Cept maybe the love of a good woman... :XXROFL:

wrong, when he was running late model he had to buy and build his own stuff, DE would give input but it was up to jr to build it.

if good equipment was all you needed, then I'm pretty sure waltrips slump, jarrett's slump, sterlings slump, rustys slump, heck, even newmans slump would never have existed...

No equipment is not everything, but it means alot. There are alot of guys everyone here knows will not win anytime soon, and the main reason is because they dont have the same level of equipment as the guys winning the races.

About 80% of the time the guy with the fastest car wins the race.

Yeah, I feel real sorry for those drivers that go a few races without winning. Poor Guys.

Anybody checked out Schrader's slump lately? 13 years.

Schrader is a perfect example of someone who would preform twice as better atleast with top of the line equipment.

I agree that big bucks buys speed. On the other hand I can remember dale JR. struggling in late model stocks and Busch series races before driving for his dad. He paid his dues. His dad would have it no other way.

Just my opinion

Equipment is not all of it.Don't try to tell Me that any driver could sit in the #24 and amass Jeff Gordon's impressive stats.

Equipment is a big part of it though. Put Jeff in Schrader's car and see how many races he'll win.

IMHO,Jeff would win more in Schrader's car, that's speculation of course as We'll never know, but it'd be interesting to find out. :D

IMO, he would not. Hard to win many races when you're sitting in the garage. Schrader wins in everything he races except Cup. Does that mean he forgets how to drive on Sundays?
