Dale Jr off to his best season yet, heck only one other person has had this good of a start to the season as in having a top 2 in the first three races. The only other person to do that is Richard Petty. As a fan of Jr this gets me a little extincted for the rest of the season. I see a change in his racing style so far this season, times before where he would roll over and not fight for a spot are gone, he really seems like he wants to win and wants to race. Has anyone else noticed that change or is it just me?

Finally got a crew chief that he clicks with & it's his final year. Making an all out last ditch effort & it's working out. Shown strength on plate & 1.5 mile tracks. Curious how they're short track system is

He knows time is ticking.

Also, Steve is throwing caution to the wind knowing he's out of there so he's trying stuff that he would otherwise not try.

He'll be extincted like gordon soon. :D

Actually, I'm happy and excited myself for Jr. He's doing great and I hope he can keep it up.

Very pleased so far! Want a few more wins though by seasond end. What's it know? 8 consecutive top 10 finishes?

Great racing for Junior . When you think about it , if he gets another win , he can take the rest of the regular season off and come back for the chase . Cool, huh?

They have been FAST.... and I guess it shouldn't be surprising because of the roll the ended last year on.

Wouldn't it be neat to have Nascar's biggest drawing card laying on the beach at Myrtle Beach , racing his late model on Saturday nights until the chase starts .Nascar says ,But you gotta come back and race . Junior says ,no I don't , you made the rules .

Finished 1st or 2nd in six out of the last eleven races. 8th or better in eleven out of the last twelve. 4th or better in six straight. He's on one of the best streaks I've seen in a long time.

I was pulling for him to beat Keslowski to the line but it made for a great finish anyway. Just would have been better if Jr. had won but 1 win and 2 other top 2's so far this year ain't bad at all.

Junior done good today and didnt give up, cant ask for more then that. His fans should be proud IMO

I'm surprised by the Jr. love in this thread. Well deserve imo.

So much struggled for such a long time and now its paying off. Its good to see.

He has the most loyal fans in all the world of sports, they deserve to hear some good words about their driver when he puts out a good effort.IMO

Except that the rules don't allow for that. They have to finish in the top 30 in points and attempt every race (except in rare instances). Maybe the beach is one of those, I don't know. Somehow I don't think we'll find out.

I'm hoping rare instances means 1 race suspension, birth of child, bereavment etc. but we're talking about Brian France so I wont be surprised if my hopes are dashed.

As for Earnhardt, I wont spoil the party with what I really think is going to happen but rather just say that he's showing more drive in the first 3 races than I've seen since the DEI years and getting the results he deserves.

Baffled to not see Gordon's name up there.

I thought for sure that's something he had done in the past. Wow shocked.

Try not to freak out about it, he has done some other cool stuff
