Ryan Newman won his seventh race of 2003 while Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the Budweiser No. 8 team led 48 laps before a late-race crash left Dale Jr. with minor injuries. Earnhardt Jr. was transported to Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover, Del. for observation following the race, and was released at approximately 7:00 pm. He will fly home immediately this evening to Mooresville, NC. His injuries were listed as a minor concussion and a bruised right foot. Dale Jr. will be re-examined tomorrow by Dr. Jerry Petty. Any further updates will be released Monday.

Well that's good to hear. At first glance, at least it's not serious.

Hearing from Jayski.com that Dale Earnhardt Jr. will drive at Talladega :)

Junior has faked not having one before, he could do it again... :p

Well, now he'll be able to use the same excuse as last year as to why they didn't win more races & the championship.

It's a shame they aren't already doing the brain wave test before the season and then before they are allowed to race again to insure there is not damage that could endanger themselves or others.
Then again it is widely reported that drinking massive amounts of alcohol kills off brain cells...
