Dang --- Mike Harmon in deep doo-doo

I can't believe how stupid this guy is. And because of his stupidity, the con-woman is going to get even more support and hang around even longer.

How do you steal 7 race cars and expect to get away with it? Whats going on here behind the scenes?

That's funny. Now she gets stripped trucks back. I bet she will think twice before she pisses off anyone else. Hopefully with his on going Federal lawsuite against her, a good lawyer can prove that he was just taking back what he felt was his. She must have really stepped on his _ick to piss him off this bad. He must feel he has a pretty good case against her because he sure wasn't trying to hide the property. But, this could get pretty interesting before it's over. Like they always say...there is usually more to the story then meets the eye.

"I want it known that I have never stolen so much as a piece of bubble gum in my life"

A source tells NBC Charlotte the seven stolen vehicles, once worth about $150,000 a piece, had been stripped down and now have a value of about $10,000 each.

What federal lawsuit? I guess I am not up to date on the soap opra.

This time she came out looking like an angel so she'll continue her little scams.

I read somewhere a few days ago when this first came to light that he had filed a lawsuite against her in federal court. If he did then this probably isn't going to help his case much. We will just have to wait for the dust to settle and see how bad all this mess is.

I don't think so, Andy. She might go somewhere else and try to scam someone, but I think anyone in the nascar community will be on to her after all of this is over. We will just have to wait and see.

I sure hope people are able to look past her chest now and see her for what she is. But the fact is, she keeps coming away from this stuff looking like an angel. Just like the time she was clearly in the wrong - she came out of that looking clean because nobody really knew how that ended.

I hope everyone in the NASCAR garage has figured out that she's the common denominator in all these feuds though.

How do they know the cars belong to Cobb? They're not street cars, so they don't have VIN numbers, I assume. Do they check the serial numbers on the engine and chassis or something? Or did they blanatly still have Cobb's number and lively on them?

Not saying Harmon is innocent, just curious what the process was to determine if these were the stolen race cars.

At least he won't be famous as the guy whose car split in half...

you have chassis numbers. Since her stuff was second hand, it was probably marked from the original team that built it.. All she would have to prove is that those chassis belonged to her. He has to prove that they didn't. He got arrested for it, so she had proof that they were hers.

I want women to succeed in this sport, trust me I do. Unfortunately, people like Danica and JoCobb, they become such a sideshow that it hurts the brand of all women. Then you have people like Tia Norfleet - who is right in there with JoCobb. Personally, I don't like Danica Patrick but I give her credit for showing up and giving it 100% (even though her 100% just isn't good enough to compete).

Now, everyone's in a difficult position. Everyone wants to see a woman win in NASCAR. NASCAR wants to see it because it'd look really good for their brand being the lead story on NBC Nightly News, FOX News Live and Good Morning America. But sponsors are in a difficult position with the likes of JJC and Tia Norfleet.

Are you sponsoring someone like Johanna Long or Simona de Silvestro who will race hard for it every week? Are you sponsoring another Danica who, say what you will, will get you a return on your investment? Or are you sponsoring a con artist?

NASCAR's going to have to step in with the Jennifer Jo Cobb nonsense. There's no choice.

And amazingly - the two female drivers currently in NASCAR who can get it done don't have sponsors lining up in large numbers.

Unfortunately it's very seldom that a group of racers come together to form a "Racing Team" and create an explicit document outlining what belongs to who and who invested what and how much your part of the team is worth or even what each individuals responsibilities are. Sure the Big Money Multi-Million dollar teams who have more lawyers than crew do it but your average racer is more about going racing than he is documentation of ownership.
Been many a hard feeling over stuff like this even between family members.

Well said. My first impression of this story when it broke a few months ago was that Cobb and Harmon were sharing resources and somebody got buttsore over something and suddenly the police were called and fingers were pointed.
