I can't imagine that the 21 had a guaranteed starting spot last year since they were not in the Top 35 in points. I also think he raced in.
As for Miss Thang, she qualified 30th on time. Bayne, Stremme and Raines got in on time ahead of her. With 7 spots available (Top 35 plus Terry Labonte) I think that she and Kenny Wallace, who was 31st, would have been fast enough to secure a starting spot.

Trevor was a guaranteed starter last year thanks to an owner points swap with RPM.

Yes but last year Trevor qualified 4th and started on the outside of the front row in the second qualifyer and with hte way he ran in that qualifyer he did'nt need the gaurantee.
