Danica Patrick is lending her voice to a character in the upcoming racing game Blur from the makers of Project Gotham Racing. She didn't indicate what her role is in the game, but said she plays a character that drives a Lotus on the San Francisco track.

Blur is one part The Fast and The Furious, and one part Mario Kart. Blur lets players race more than 50 licensed cars over tracks based on real-world locations, including Los Angeles, Spain and the United Kingdom. Players can use power-ups to cause other cars to crash while protecting their own car.

Blur currently has a free multi-player demo available on Xbox Live. The game will be released on May 25th for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

sounds like an awful game couldn't someone just make a decent NASCAR game for me

I thought the same thing before I started playing the beta test several months ago. It really is a fantasic game. Lots of fun to play with friends.

Here's the trailer:

Of course, I would like someone to make a new NASCAR game. :D

Anyone but EA, I know there is supposed to be a nascar part on Gran Trismo right, the problem being its not a Xbox game

It's not really NASCAR though. It only has a couple of cars from the big name drivers, and Daytona and Indy are the only tracks. Forza Motorsport 3 on the Xbox has pre-COT stock cars, but no NASCAR tracks.

EA probably wont be making a NASCAR game anytime soon. They lost the exclusive license, but nothing other than GT5 and iRacing.com will have anything relating to NASCAR.

I was actually hoping that Codemasters would pick up the license. They did so for Formula 1, and they make some of the best racing games around.

They make the Toca Racing games don't they? If so they had a part on Toca Racing 3 that was stock cras running Gateway, Nashville, Dover. But I found it not that great, but then again that game has like 30 different series.

They also made the excellent Grid and Dirt series.
