Danica post race Interview

naw, looks like she had fun. lot better than the usual bland stuff mentioning sponsors up the wazoo and saying little of interest.

Yes some people have a tendency to continue to talk even if what they are saying is meaningless I guess they think it makes them seem intelligent or important? Maybe someday they'll learn content is more important than length?

The above criticism is not directly pointed at any poster on this board ;)

At least she said something somewhat thoughtful, rather than a blathering of every sponsor on her suit and car.

Thoughtful?....when she turned sideways I could see right between her ears to the otherside. The space between is vacant...seriously

Right on.

I like her take of her run in with Carl Edwards. Think Carl's taking a mental note of that, or just shrugging that off as just some hard road racing?

i'm sure carl just shrugged it off as hard racing. everyone gets banged around a bit on a road course. i especially liked the way ambrose delivered a message to jv. jv reminds me of montoya in a way. if there's no room he makes it, sometimes getting the worst of the exchange.

Sometimes she does seem to ramble on just a little bit, but she certainly isn't the only driver to do so. Your brain has to be a little scrambled after such a long and mentally grinding event. Besides, I'd much rather look at her being interviewed than any of the guys they could be interviewing. ;)

She is better to look at, and she is getting better about not giving every tiny detail for 3 laps before getting to the point.

Is that you in your profile picture?

Thats Pat Tillman, the former Arizona Cardinals safety who left football to become an Army Ranger, and was killed in southeastern Afghanistan April 22nd 2004. One of Our Fallen Heros.

I knew he looked familiar. What a sad story. Hero killed by friendly fire.

You can't say that she isn't blonde. Besides I thought for her 1st stock car race on a road course she did damn good till she lost her brakes.

What brakes do IndyCars run I never seem to remember any of them loosing their brakes on a road course, maybe it's time NA$CAR gets a better brake package.

Until NASCAR increases wheel diameter, there isn't much more that they can do to improve braking. And bear in mind that an INDY car is 1500 pounds, whereas a Nationwide car is double that and more - with much narrower tires! And the INDY car road races are normally shorter races, too.

She was complaining about the heat Saturday. How's she gonna handle those long 500 mile (600 once a year) races when she moves to Cup?

It was just her interview that I didnt like....I was actually pleasantly surprised with how she ran at Montreal.....actually impressed

Drivers all complain but they soldier through. Her performance dropped after she (and her brakes) got HAWT!

Of course her performance declined after she had brake problems, braking on a road course is pretty important.

well, DUH! :D
Part of being a successful driver is managing your equipment so that you can maintain your competitive edge till the end of the race, right?
She is the reason her brakes got hot. Running well early in a race - while abusing your equipment - may get you some TV time, but that strategy ain't gonna get you on the podium!

This is her first race on a road course in a stock car, I think we could all cut her some slack.
