Danica's post wreck interview seemed odd

Maybe it's just me (and my conspiratorial mind), but I was kind of surprised at Danica's post wreck interview. She seemed kind of defensive and even apologetic. She made a point to say how she felt bad for Tony E. and how "there was just a wreck in front of her and nothing she could do".

My thought at the time was - of course there was nothing you could do when somebody goes crashing ahead of you...why even mention that. Then they showed the clip of Tony E. walking away rolling up the wire on his headset and looking kind of disgusted. Odd. I mean the steering wheel was up near the inside roof...it was a bad crash..maybe since he knew she was OK he wasn't concerned anymore.

After thinking about it for awhile, I can't help but wonder if Tony E. was pissed at Danica for not having the car out front more. It did look like she had a car that could almost get there by itself - and the announcer even said that at one point. Maybe he thought he had a "Marlinesque" machine under Danica last night and she wasn't putting it up front enough and therefore keeping out of danger (or maybe I'm making something out of nothing).

Anyway - the whole deal seemed kind of odd to me...glad Danica wasn't hurt.

P.S. - Happy Wedding Day Ditz!

Of course he was disgusted. She qualified well, had a strong car, ran up front, led a bunch and got caught up again thru no fault of her own in yet another bone head move by a igjit.
I'm sure she does feel bad for the team.

I have zero like or respect for Eury Jr. but I thought it was good see Patrick upset that she didn't win instead of happy that she had a good car. IMO, drivers are supposed to be unhappy when they don't win as I know that I've never walked away from a competition happy that I lost.

I don't think Danca wanted to be back there. When she was riding in 3rd and Brad was off her bumper because he wanted to cool off, she seemed to want to get up front in a hurry.

One of these days that big rawboned redneck no bullcheet crew chief is going to go ballistic on one of the little toids that keep wrecking her out whether its intentional or lack of talent. Would be fun to watch.

Looked to me like he was headin to the washroom for a pee .

I think it is impossible to know, she took a hard hit. She was moving around in the car, so I didn't think major injuries. But she was still dazed and not dropping the window net soon enough imo.

So I not putting much stock or trying to read to much into her comments, a few minutes later outside the care center. We could also speculate that she needed a night in the hospital, but the media hounds discourage or make using standard common sense an unattractive option.

Regardless of ones thoughts on Danica, I think everyone knows she is media freindly, and makes herself available. That does include the good and and tough moments, maybe we take for granted the difficulty or personal stresses involved right after a crash.

I have not watched Yuri as much and less inclined to study his body language. But he could have been feeling any number of emotions or thought as well.

Here's a pic of her from a few minutes ago. She looks like she's doing just fine.

How many of you know that Danica is a cheesehead and that she never finished high school?

I would say she has done pretty well for herself.

After you get your bell rung like that it takes a while for the ringing to stop. Just what exactly do they do in the "infield care center" anyway?

They inspect your helmet and Hans device, and just a quick check out. If your helmet shows scratches and such they check you a little more thoroughly.

Put a Coke Zero in front of them and if they can grab it they send them on their way and maybe a lollipop for the youngsters.

In Danica's case, she has to be able to give Mike Helton a proper lap dance before they give her the all clear.

They are getting right on that.

I appreciate you posting the photos almost any Danica photo is good.

But the photographer wasted a great shot. There is a lot of exposed leg being provided courtesy of Danica that he flagrantly and classlessly ignored. Had he appreciated Danica as a whole person he would have provided more of her (legs in this case) in the image.

May be a woman photographer??

Greg, you are a class A horn dog, and I love the racing porn you bring to the forum. :beerbang:

Danica is a competitor. She wants to be up front every week and she's really improved the last couple races. If she can run like she did at Road American and Daytona more often she's gonna win eventually.

Correct me if I'm wrong (on this board, hell everybody will be on me) looks like an airbrush job around the neckline of this nascar driver, may be my old eyes, but look close. Still all pictures of her are bada$$.

Then again, I think you're right. Maybe she has a swastika tattoo.
