Some friends & I are looking to go to the Darlington race in April. I haven't been to a race since I was a kid so I'm out of the loop on pre race operations and such. Anybody got any helpful hints for pre race festivities, places to eat, where to park etc...??

Great site for the dining race fan ====> LINK

Here's another link that you need to check out. Anything/everything Darlington. Not a pretty sit but moredetail than you can handle====> LINK

I can't offer any dining tips but I can say if you want to see good driving this is the place. Toughest track to drive because of its unique shape. They can't get a perfect handling car in every corner. You'll see their talent come forward. Awesome place to watch it. Good luck

I'm hoping so. It's April so the weather is always tricky in the south east. My college is giving out $19 tix so hopefully the seats aren't too bad haha

ah Darlington , the Southern 500 , the Lady in Black , Too Tough to Tame . You are going back into history my friend . Just take it in .

Just ask him who his school hates the most :D
Yes, Oddly enough I was a gamecock fan. LOL
On the racing side I went to Darlington many times as a kid in the late 60's early 70's. I know for the fan its nothing like it was then but the track still has many of the same qualities that make it so tough. Good luck on your trip and be safe.
