Daytona 500 on Monday?

Wow, lets hope not. But rain looks to be in the picture at this point depending on which site you check. Moving up the starting time by a couple of hours might solve the problem, but thats not going to happen, so I'm hoping it all blows over. Way too much buildup and hype to put this thing off for another day.

The one thing we have going for us is that the Daytona 500 has never been rained out. I hope it stays that way.

I sure hope they can get the race in tomorrow, but if they can't I have monday off :D
 
Well they have lights so i don't see why they can't get it in....gives them a big window to work with.
 
Like mopardh9 said, they have lights, they have TV time, and major sponsors for the event today. It'll run today. I suggest everyone lay in more beverages and snacks, it may be a long day, but we will race. ( I hope......please, please, please......)
 
Big Bad Line of Storms

Sorry guys, once this storm fires up, it will not leave the area until tomorrow morning. Look for it to start up probably around half way. Could be the Daytona 250?
 
It's hard to say, but they could get half of it in before the rain starts. Now the question is, if they get this far obviously they are going to try to get in all 500 miles, but if they can't, will they really postpone half of it for another day or just declare a winner, because the race is technically over.
