Could someone please help me:

I know that the field is set after the Duels, but will NASCAR and/or Fox post a revised starting lineup after the final practice?

Example: Truex is starting 2nd, but crashed his car, so will have to start at the back of the field. Will they show where he will actually start on race day, or will they only show that he is starting 2nd? I'd appreciate any answers I could get.

He will still get start with starting 2nd but he will drop to the back on the warmup laps. There is no revised starting lineup.

That's a good question.

I know jayski makes a point to tell which drivers has to go to the back but not in what position exactly. It seems that just as long as you start in the back is good with NASCAR.

I have seen instances where someone has to go to the back but he gets in line like in 38th or some spot that's not truly "dead last" like they like to say.

I remember Jimmie had to start "at the rear" at Michigan last year after wrecking in practice and he lined up more like 38th or so.

Just a guess but the cars behind him may prefer it that way. If you are a driver developing, or team struggling financially you dont want to mess up a contenders day on the first lap. You might even be buying parts and used stuff from the contenders team owner.

Many times the guys that drop to the back get the 'wave by' by those back marker competitors. We hardly ever notice unless it's one the talking heads make a point in telling us about it.

You hear about it all the time on in-car audio when a front runner has a problem and has to line up behind the lap cars and most of them wave them by or the spotters make a deal.

A driver goes to the back of his row. If more than one driver has to go to the rear, I believe they go back in the order they had to switch cars or change engines. I think Stewart, Patrick, and B. Labonte will line up ahead of Truex, Johnson, etc. because they had to make their changes first.
