I have been following the testing of Regan Smith and he has been posting consistently high speeds. This year will be a learning year for him but I would not be surprised to see him do extremely well in 2008. Regan has a solid foundation in racing..........and, is a nice young man.

Yeh , and is going to have one of the Best as a Tutor !

The COT cars were using a larger plate. In testing of the current cars, they were using a 7/8" plate, and the COT cars that were testing were using a 1 1/8" plate. From what I heard that was giving them another 150HP, therefore the higher speeds.

I wonder if they'll test one without a plate?!? I know NASCAR would like to get rid of the plates with the COT if they can.

I really dont get the whole Regan Smith thing , I mean one top ten and that was a 10th in 85 Busch starts . I did see him race once at Cayuga in a USAR race and he crashed twice that day . I have no doubt that he is a nice young man but he would not be my pick for that ride , as a matter of fact he would not be in my top 20 picks for that ride .

I cant predict as far away as the 2008 season but I will predict allot of work for the fab shop in 2007.

That was another thing that was said.............Nascar most likely will NEVER get rid of the plate.

WOW thats pretty harsh .

I was born to a mid west race car driver and not a third generation timber baron . Unlike Edward Ginn I spent my youth rebuilding Muncie 4 speeds and not investing my fathers money in golf courses

Geez Muggle I expected something of more substance from you .

I like Regan a lot, saw him at a Busch race in Nashville, qualifying for someone else, don't remember who. However, as a Smith, we need a good one in NASCAR.
