Of all of the practice sessions, at all of the tracks, Daytona and Talladega have to be the most meaningless. They don't seem to be able to work on all that much and as practice goes on less drivers/teams want to participate for fear of loading the car back up on the truck. Of the 44 cars that participated in the first practice session, only 24 hit the track for the final session and 8 of those were ones that had to qualify on time.
