Ole Gordo looks to be the fastest so far!

I posted this on my NFL teams fan board, in the NASCAR area.. but, nothing has come about. Maybe I can get an answer from you all?

It seems Mikey is Mid Pack, Jr. is mid to back of the pack, and Gordon is lead'n teh pack.

One question I have is, this day, they did testing one car at a time I believe.

Can anyone comfirm that tho?

The reason I ask, is because, if Jr is that slow in the pack already (even if it's first day testing) that's not like his team.

Yet, if that's without drafting help... that's a good thing, because, normally... the cars that are the slowest "without help" are the ones that eat cars up with a sniff of the draft.

Also, did you see Morgan Shepard on the speed chart for todays test?! That's AWSOME!

Morgan must have been tucked in behind another car during his run. :p

Remember, handling is important at Daytona. The fastest does not necessarily win the race. The driver has to be able to put the car in position to win, and that requires handling.

Testing it just that.........testing. They could be trying any number of things from setups to gears to tires. The speeds mean little if you are trying to guess who's going to be fastest during the race. It's a novelty for us to get all excited about!! :)

I saw where Jeff Burton wanted NASCAR to go ahead and allow drafting testing sessions, I think he has a point, individual runs are only good for so long.

yeah, drafting test sessions would be good for the SS's. because the only testing you can do at the SS's by yourself really is qual settings.
