So I've been kind of paying attention to the MIS testing today, and they sure are flying around the track. Ridiculous speeds, the track record will be shattered again this weekend.

One thing I found interesting though was that there was at least one caution flag during testing, and the caution was for, what, debris. It's obvious that they threw a debris caution during testing just to make it look like those debris cautions during the races were legit.

It's all a conspiracy.

This yellow was legit. Brian France's red Teddy blew across the track and created a dangerous situation.

One caution today was for debris from a blown tire by the 51. There was another caution for debris in turn 2. Gordon said on the radio "Is that for the debris in turn 2? I saw it but wasn't gonna say anything."

Are they having tire problems on the new surface?

The technicals term for that is, symptomatics . Gordon has had a tough year with untimely cautions. Winning practice even becomes a bigee , don't want no (Martinsville) cautions, even during practice. The symptomatics are in play.

REUTI is there as a spectator too, you can probably spot him sitting on the front row stands. He will be the guy throwing his hot dog wrappers, spitting backer and number oneing on the track. But he only does it when Jeffs winning, even the practices.

Some blistering. Should go away with higher temps and rubber being laid down.

It's always been my experiance the hotter the track and more rubber laid down the more blistering you get? Blistering is caused by the buildup of heat in the tire, maybe their hopeing the track will get greasy and loose grip?
This newer asphalt they use is some tricky stuff!
