Brooks made balance of power adjustments during the World Series of Asphalt Racing at New Smyrna Speedway in February after a technical dispute during the the first Pro Late Model race of the World Series. That call involved changes to the engine-rev limiter combination of Jeremy Miller after being challenged by racer Hallie Deegan after the race. Short Track Scene had complete coverage of this incident >> here.

what was wrong here? deegan said miller had an illegal limiter?

Aren't all of the engine combinations tested and supposedly balanced against each other now?

Not 100 percent sure of how that outfit does things but it appears that they punished a builder for making a bit more power. I assume the engines met the rules from what I have read. KBM uses em, they must be the best.

So much for " SEAL "

Accidentally deleted my post. After reading that article, I tend to agree.

Outta spec for the series perhaps?
Too good? like the Jurrasic park jeff gordon car?

I would imagine that any outright violation on the engine internals would have resulted in a ban and some severe penalty's. A million little " tricks " could potentially develop more power from the same basic engine and still be within tolerance. After reading that article, who's engine would you purchase ?
