Cannot say I heard this exactly right, so if anyone can confirm I would appreciate it.

It is my understanding that DEI has decided no tto exercise their option ot renew Steve Park's contract next year. Nothing has been heard as to what DEI plans are conceriing another driver.

Steve has made no comment, nor do I know of any plans he may have made for next year. We all know that he was fully expecting this and in essence made it clear to DEI last week that they should either sign him or say no.

That's sad HS.........but good for Steve for calling their hand!! He'll do fine and get a good ride next year. I doubt if he's just sat on his butt during all this silly season crap.......he's been looking at other options, I'm sure!!

As far as I know, nothing has been decided at DEI yet. The option on Steve's current contract expired on June 15th, so he is now free to talk with other teams. Steve still could be with DEI next year, and he might not. This silly season is certainly sillier than most.

I believe I too heard that DEI did not pick up Steve's option - it was mentioned during qualifying

Pretty sure it was reported both during qualifying today and again during the NASCAR Trackside program on Speed Channel.

Have not seen the news in print yet.

I think Steve has taken control of this and will find a good ride. Hopefully they will support him better than DEI. He's a good driver and needs someone to believe in him.

According to Steve's website, nothing official yet but many posters are commenting on the "rumor" and wishing him well.

I LOVE STEVE, and actually would like to see him with HMS.

I heard HillsBrothers was gone from the #23 car after this season and who knows maybe Hut is too park might fit in good with Bill Davis Racing.

not to upset you again kat, but, i REALLY hope that Steve does not fall in to the HMS trap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i heard that at qualifying too and i really think it's a shame.
i hope he finds a good ride.
but then again, it seems he's really had no support from DEI, so maybe he's better off. imho.
