Just heard on NASCAR NOW on ESPN that he got offered what he wanted.

Will be interesting to see what Dale will do.

I read at Jayski that DEI was offering the 51% percent, but with the string that an independent administrative board would oversee any changes that Junior would want to make to the racing operation -- basically with Junior reporting to the board.

Sounds like a good thing to me. Let's wain until the "OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT" after the ink dries.

Dale Earnhardt Inc. officials announced Thursday the launch of the Earnhardt Entertainment Division, which is aimed to "merge the various aspects of the entertainment industry with NASCAR," a team statement said.

"We are looking forward to offering rich entertainment programming and innovative content," DEI President of Global Operations Max Siegel said. "There's such great synergy there, and it's our goal to bring the two entities together to enjoy a mutually beneficial relationship while keeping our focus to connect to millions of fans."

The team said the division would develop, produce and distribute music, film and television projects. The company would announce plans to collaborate with "major entertainment partners" in the coming months, a team news release said.

Before joining DEI, Siegel was senior vice president of Zomba Label Group and president of Zomba Gospel.
