Dale Earnhardt Inc. formally announced a long-term partnership in the NASCAR Busch Series with driver Paul Menard on Wednesday.
Menard will drive the No. 11 Menards Chevrolet for the remaining 15 races on the 2004 Busch Series schedule. In 2005, the DEI team with Menards and driver Paul Menard will compete for their third Busch Series championship running the entire schedule.

"To have the opportunity to race for Dale Earnhardt Inc. and Teresa Earnhardt is pretty amazing," said Menard. "I'll have a great teammate in the DEI family who's currently running for the championship right now in Martin Truex Jr."

Menard previously worked with the Andy Petree Racing team

Save Big Money at Menards!

Menards, Home Depot, Lowe's. I hope he gets to the same level as the other home improvement drivers.

lol But seriously, hope he does well! Martin Truex drives pretty good, he's a good addition to DEI. Hope Menard is, too!

So what happens to Andy Petree Racing, which has helped Paul Menard so far?

APR and Paul Menard parted ways several weeks ago. I'm sure pappa menard wanted to opportunity to put sonny boy in better equipment.

In my opinion, APR should concentrate on the Truck Series for now. He usually fields reasonably competitive trucks when he does field them. Start over in the truck series and work his way back up.

I thought I read a week or so ago that Andy P. closed down his shop and has gone to work for Ray Evernhamn??? Anyone else know?
