Hamlin ran out of gas on that last caution lap...causing another caution lap...Robby could have passed Newman (i think) with that extra lap had it not been for Hamlin.

Robby had a guaranteed top4 starting spot (i'd say top 2) had it not rained, cancelled quals and ended up relegated to 39th...

I made up some new cuss words today, but I won't share them here.

Robby and luck just don't see eye to eye on things.
 
yeah he surely had the car to win it had that second caution not come out he would've pass newman
 
Him starting 39th is in the cup race tommorrow, it had no effect on his finish today. I think Robby and his team messed up his chances today with their pit stratagy. As the race progressed and as many caution laps as they had they should've pitted the same time Stewart and the others did for the last time. You are right, "IF" it had stayed green he could've worked his way back easy but the precident for the amount of cautions had already been set so they pitted to late to make up that distance.
That said, Robby did a great job getting back to the front.
 
i didn't mean to draw a connection between those two things...sorry. The only connection was that both things, for Robby and his fans, suck.
