Denny Hamlin tells it like it is!

Andy really? I guess that Nascar Champion he has was given to him because of his name right? His wins this year oh yeah only cause of his name.

Austin got his championship truck ride because of his name. Junyer got his Nationwide ride because of his name. Hamlin got his Cup ride and his 22 Cup wins and 11 Nationwide wins the hard way.

But has Austin not backed up the right to have these rides? Won a Truck Championship, COULD have a slight chance to win the Nationwide one this year. I'm not seeing how he's not back up being in that car.

He won the truck championship because the five drivers who beat him just about every single week weren't Truck Series eligible. The only real drivers he beat were Hornaday (hasbeen) and Timothy Peters.
 
I am just happy to see a little hate in racing, it is a wonderful thing. Currently there's enough butt kissing in racing to torture my patience. Everybody loving everybody, phony, save that disgusting crap for funerals.
We need the hate it is beautiful passion, we also need a couple of good fights each year where somebody gets punched.
Hate is good for attendance too.

Denny certainly tells it like it is, and maybe that is why this guy appeals to me.

But I don't condone what he did after the race while in his car.
Lot's of people on pit road and, as we saw, even near the pit road wall.

Do you think Denny would have turned down the opportunity to enter the world of NASCAR if his grandaddy were able to field a ride for him? I kinda doubt it.

If either of the Dillon boys weren't producing their sponsorship would dry up and their time in NASCAR will be short but as I look at their position in the points, it doesn't look like they'll be leaving the sport anytime soon. Austin's sitting 3rd, 21 points behind the leader. That's not after some kind of goofy points reset like in Cup. That's after 31 races. Not bad at all for someone given a ride because of his name. Where's that Ty boy at? Sitting 2nd in points, 15 behind the leader after 20 races, not after a reset of the points. Again, not bad for someone given a ride because of his name. Like it or not there's obvious talent there.
 
Family ties have been a big part of racing since day one .And that stupid argument would have prevented everyone from Richard Petty to Earnhardt Sr . from getting rides . Fact is , it does help to break in to any career when you know someone , fact also is that you won't last very long if you aren't any good .
 
Hopefully , having the Marquis name will not prevent other generations of that family from posting crap on the internet.:D

Didn't Denny have thses kinds of NW issues with Bowyer and Keselowski?

I tought Denny's cheap shot comments were uncalled for. His actions after the race were the same old "You throw a rock and I'll throw a cinder block" mentality that got him spun more than 4 times in NW.

I think it was a bit over the top but maybe he was upset about both of the Duke Boys coming over to confront him :D Yes, from here on out I will be referring to the Dillons as Duke Boy 1 and 2.

I was referring to Dillon bumping Denny after the race and Denny responding by running him into the wall. It was way over the top, and reminded me of how he got the rivalry with Kez going.

Pit road was strange. Everyone was confronting Denny, except Austin. :confused:

I do like the Duke tags. Kinda shows they don't fit those hats just yet.

I've only seen Hamlin run Dillon into the pit road wall and the aftermath. What took place during the closing laps I haven't seen yet.

We probably never will, because the camera choices in that race were terrible. They kept cutting away at exactly the wrong moment. NASCAR should start going over the raw footage after these races and posting videos of all the action that was never aired.
 
Suddenly, Hamlin is Andy's hero after coming DOWN to the NNS (something Andy frowns upon non-stop). Any other driver, Andy's all over how "don't come down to the lower leagues and complain about them running you hard," but now Hamlin is A-OK to do that very thing.

And face it Andy, throughout racing history, from u-cars up to the very top, drivers have gotten into the sport because of family. Sometimes they do well (Dillon) sometimes they kinda suck (K Petty).

I like the "Duke" boys. Lot of talent without the braggadocio and learned from poppop not to take any sh!t from anybody.

Hmm, you've not been paying attention. You see, it's OK for Harvick to do that, no one else. Well, apparently except for Hamlin as of yesterday. :confused:

I wouldn't mind seeing cup drivers come down and help out a second tier team, but they are only interested in driving for the top teams. I guess sponsors may have something to do with it, but we heard that from Kyle for years. Then NoS didn't leave the sport when he got out of the car, they went to Stenhouse.
 
As someone who can't stand the spoiled and highly annoying Dillon boys (who've had everything handed to them on a silver platter) and their stupid cowboy costumes, I tend to agree with Hamlin. But there are times when they drive well. Only time will tell how they fare.
