WOO HOO! I like this kid!

Pretty darn good race!!

Could do with a couple fewer Sauters but at least Johnny seems to be staying out of trouble this year.

I was afraid that Kenseth was gonna take it 'til Denny beat him off pit road.
Look at Kevin Harvick running away with the points lead! ;=O

if harvick wins the busch championship, i'm thinking nascar's gonna put a magnifying glass over the buschwacker problem.

But, if Harvick runs all the races is he really a buschwhacker? Or, is he a Busch driver who also drives Cup (or vice versa). I think the buschwhacker tag should be applied to those in Cup who only race a few races in hopes of getting a quick pay day. Afterall, back in the day the Cup drivers would bring their Busch car with them and half the field would be Cup.

bp I have to agree with you, thats pretty much how I feel about it.

I think it's advantageous for the Busch drivers to be able to race with the Cup guys.
When I was racing motocross, we would go on Saturdays and run in the Pro class at a non-sanctioned event. By running with the Pros, I was able to check their entrance and exit lines, how they cut the apex and their braking techniques. I learned a lot quickly and turned Pro at 15.
The Busch drivers complain about it but you gotta know that it's like school for them.

A recent news article indicated NASCAR is looking at pairing the truck series with Nextel Cup races. Busch series cars would run as a single show at a different facility as they are a proven series.

If this takes place, it would accomplish two things. First, it would increase television exposure to the Craftsman Truck Series, something that is a major problem since the majority of truck races are shown on SPEED, and secondly, it would be to curtail the number of Nextel Cup regulars in Busch Series events.

The Craftsman Truck Series is in trouble, mostly due to television coverage and the lack thereof, and at the same time, offers the best racing of the three series. The later being my personal opinion. Yours may not coincide.

Whizz, wouldn't they have to increase the # of CTS races and also maybe even re-negotiate the deals with the Networks?
I do agree that CTS racing is fantastic!

and at the same time, offers the best racing of the three series.
wouldn't they have to increase the # of CTS races
Well for the best racing they should increase the # of races. I've always thought it was poor planning for them to have so much time off at the start of the season.

If i drove in nascar i would want between 20-30 races a year, just to much time on the road and to much time in a racecar.
