You know, with all the hype surrounding JJ Yeley, I really think Denny Hamlin has been overlooked as a better driver and better candidate for the 11 car. I know this is my personal preference, but Denny seems to have better numbers has wrecked a lot less cars than Yeley. Yeley seems find the wall every time I go to Busch race, see one on TV or even see him in a cup race on TV. Again, I may have just picked the wrong moments to watch him, but Hamlin seems like a better driver.
 
I was a big Yeley proponant over Leffler, I'm now leaning Hamlin.

Yeley will be a good driver, I think he just needs to 'cure' a bit more before he gets a ride fulltime.

It has to be intimidating... "Oh I got too close to Junior! Oh my gawd did I bump Tony? Holy cow is that DJ behind me?!"

I understand curing plenty, but like you said, he needs to cure...Hamlin seems like the ideal choice for the "spotlight" ride...of course, a wrecky rookie isn't a sign of failure.
 
When JGR let Leffler go and said they were auditioning Yeley and Ha,lin for that ride I said then that I thought Hamlin was the better driver. He seems more level-headed and can handle a car better IMO.
 
How 'bout that Hamlin? Pretty damn good comeback after a crappy start.

I felt so sorry for Denny on NASCAR This Morning. He accidentally said UPS instead of Fed X. He was so embarrassed. :eek:
 
JG was would be crazy to not let Hamlin have that ride.
