I was just looking at the standings and winnings and I noticed Cope is in 77th place and has no starts or wins. However, he has been awarded $82,054.

Is Derrike Cope getting show money for being a past Daytona winner?

He finished 14th in the shootout. I'm guessing thats where the money came from.

Cope finished 14th in the Bud Shoot Out winning $34,75 and finished 16th in the first 500 qualifyer winning another $47,979. Neither of those are Points paying events so the statistics will show him as entering No Races.

That makes more sense, I wondered how he made so much for the qualifier, thought maybe he got a "Past Winner" bonus or something.
