Dick Clark Dead at 82 - @abc

RIP Dick, now we are stuck with Seacrest on New Years

Maybe you guys remember him with New Years Eve, but to me, he was what I came home from school and watched on American Bandstand. This was the day way back when couples danced instead of bounced to the music. Does any of the oldsters here remember what the "Bop" was? Took me a long time to learn, but I did. RIP Dick.

I always think of American Bandstand when I hear his name. That show was pretty awesome. I can still hear "It's got a good beat, I can dance to it" in my head. He was really good on the Pyramid game shows too. Just always seemed like a really nice, humble, classy guy. You don't see that much in celebrities anymore.

He saw the Mayan calendar and figured with no New Years Eve.....
