Did I miss it or was there no thread on the truck race at Martinsville? If not, here goes. Rate it a 9.25.
A lot of beating and banging, some cheap shots and some great moves. Nelson Piquet. Jr.,must have thought he was flying when he dive bombed into a few holes that opened for a split second before attempting to close again. But by that time Nelson had filled it.
Two hunderd laps pf constant something going on. Not a dull race but an exciting one.
Now for the negative; NASCAR throwing a caution for a spin. Sheesh! Not just in the truck series either.
While jumping around, is there any further information on the truck series going to Orange County, South Boston and Myrtle Beach? Maybe Hickory? All great shrot tracks and the rucks are just the ticket for thoe venues.

Okay, I'm done. Comments? Anyone?

I'd love to see the trucks at Myrtle Beach, but I don't think the track is interested. They gave up their Busch race over a decade ago. They weren't making enough above their costs to break even. The track has changed hands a couple of times since then, including prior to this season. I suspect the current owners don't have the money to put up SAFER barriers. I'm guessing the same problem applies to SoBo. I'm satisfied with Rockingham getting a truck date again next year, although I continue to wish they'd pick up the open Nationwide date from Canada.

MB hosts a great weekend to wrap up their season in a couple of weeks. I went a few years ago and it took over four hours just for qualifying. Four forty-car heat races, a truck main event, and all that was just on Saturday.
