Jeff Gordon is one pole position shy of becoming only the sixth driver in NASCAR history
to join the 50/50 club. Friday afternoon, Jeff Gordon won the pole for this weekend's
Save Mart 350 at Sonoma, his 49th pole position of his career. With 1 more pole, Jeff
will join a very elite group of drivers that have 50 career wins and 50 career pole
positions. The five drivers already in the 50/50 club are: Richard Petty had 200 wins
and 123 poles, David Pearson had 105 wins and 112 poles, Bobby Allison had 85 wins
