Didn't take long did it?

It was obvious when the new rules regarding yellow flag discipline were announced that it would only be a matter of time before someone would cry "fixing" "favoritism" "manipulating" or some such foul and insidious intent on NASCAR's part.

One race was all it took.

Though the rules were laid out clear as a bell before the race, with no way of anyone having the faintest clue who would or would not be affected by it. ]

It was inevitable, it was unavoidable and it was so entirely predictable.

And the basis in fact? Hardly mentionable.

You can certainly say that Ryan Newman was the beneficiary of the new yellow flag rule, but I cannot see that it was intentional on Nascar's part that he won the race. There were several other drivers who received the same benefit, but just weren't able to capitalize on the "gift".

i don't see the differnce between drivers giving lapped cars their laps back then what NASCAR is duing (only their garunteed laps back)

I didn't like how cars more than one lap down can never get back a lap. Kenny Wallace had JUST been lapped as a caution came out, and b/c he had just gone a second lap down, he couldn't pass the leader.

That is big negative rpm..........if you are more than one lap down you get no relief. Obviously you might be able to get a lap back during green but there will be no help.

And still I am ticked with the drivers who made this ruling necessary.

I'm happy about Nascar finally doing something about racing to the yellow but I don't agree with giving a lap back and it sound like most of the driver don't like it either. Just my 2cents.
