Didn't take long

Now they telling people to put a stuffed animal in the carseat when the child isn't in it and when you do put the child in,move the stuffed animal to the front seat.So it will remind you that your child is back there in the carseat.WTH.I don't get how it's so easy to forget that you have a child in the car.Maybe if they start arresting these people instead of writting them up as "accidents" this kind of stuff would stop.

Yes, mine did --- but not until I was older. And us old farts were not in car seats in the back seat. We were just laid down on the front seat, right next to mom. Or, mom held us as dad drove.

We also had manual windows and door locks.

MABEY YOUR MOM left you in an unattended car when you were 7 months old??? Mine wasn't that stupid

I can't really claim that myself. I was the youngest of 9 kids. My mom kind of figured that if she still had 9 kids when she went to bed she did her job. Sometimes I wondered how she accomplished it. I have cloudy memories of being left in a running car and figuring out how to get it in reverse. My brother said I was 3 or 4 years old at the time. I managed to back the car out of the driveway and across the street and down the hill a ways to a neighbor's yard where a gas meter managed to stop me before gravity had a chance to dole out a more severe punishment for my mom's poor judgement.

Don't get me wrong, I love my mom to death, God rest her soul. But, she was little absentmided when it came to a lot of things.
