I would like to know the differences in Indy and Nascar ( EXCEPT CARS..thats a given). Like rules and points. If anyone can explain this all to me that would be great!

The one diffrence I know is that when a yellow flag comes out in Indy racing you CAN NOT race back to the start finish line. In NASCAR you can.

Well yeah I learned that from the Indy 500 and the Chi-land race.

Indy cars go much faster than Winston Cup cars do and they are much lighter !

IRL has a points system that rewards the race winner moreso than the nascar system does! IRL also does the pit stops much differently. The crewman actually kneel at each tire position prior to the car pulling into pit lane! I also thought that was strange.

Money, and more money is the biggest difference between the series. Mechanics, drivers, and owners change from one series to another, but the ballance sheet has much bigger numbers in NASCAR, second only to F1 in the racing world.
