As bad as Directv may seem I previously had Comcast until last year and being a customer of Comcast was like being Jewish in Nazi Germany.
DirecTV isn't the greatest --- but when it is all you have, it's wonderful.

i have directv and have had it for 12 years the reception is good i rarely lose signal and it is cheaper than cable so tell me andy whats the problem ?

You could give them a free sleepcomfort bed and 24/7/365.25 access to the playboy mansion, they would still be pissed off.
