Disappointment for Kerry...

Yeah it would have been nice. Too bad they couldnt rescheldule qualifying for tommorow. Im sure he'll be in a WC race sooner or later though...

He's trying again at Charlotte and Atlanta, I think he will make one of those.

man that has to suck, no chance of making it, that darn rain!

Think Kerry was bummed? Geoff would have been in and Jay out had it been by points instead of attempts at the back of the pack.

Kerry will get plenty of chances, guys like Morgan and Pressley/Melling and Geoff and Jay/Marcis and and Stacy/BAM are hanging on by the skin of their teeth.

Feel sorry for Kerry? Sorry he didn't get a chance to try but not sorry at all he didn't get in. Bummed for him of course, but bummed for the others too. Ain't nobody in the race that doesn't deserve to be there. Never is.

I feel for any driver who gets ready for q'ing, never gets the chance, and has to go home. It's got to be heart-breaking to say the least. And don't even mention the money that was spent.

Absolutely TRL......You've been around to see it happen to plenty of good racers. And so have I.

I kinda thought the one chance qualifying thing would give them an extra day to set the field but I guess the powers that be don't see it that way. Always bummed for anybody that doesn't get a shot.

The way Kerry was practicing, he wasn't going to make the field anyway. Would have been interesting to see if he could have made the field anyway.

He's not the only good car to go home. Geoffrey Bodine is always stout at Talladega (and Daytona) in that #09 car, and Robert Pressley in the #92 Melling entry was practicing towards the top of the list and had to go home as well.

I think it was the 92 that sat on the pole twice last year only it might have had a different number

71fan, The #92 has been the #92 for about three years now. Before it was the #9.

I know that the #92 has come close to sitting on the pole, i think Stacey Compton qualified 2nd for the Daytona 500 a year or two ago. They probably would have had a good shot at the point this year, expecially with Team Ganassi supporting them. Ah well, that's the nature of the sport sometimes.

I was hoping to see if Kerry could qul. and how he would do in the race. Looks like we will just have to waite.

I would bet you'll see Team Bradshaw field another Cup car for Kerry before the season is out.

A blessing in hiding for him ,I would say. This race is going to be a cluster you know what.;) He don't need to get himself hurt trying to prove he can run at Taledistruction raceway.

Yea.....#92 Stacy Compton on the pole at Dega in the Kodiak Dodge last year twice. The 92 practiced 11th and is one heck of a car. Probably would have gotten in on time.

Now that's disappointment.
