Do any of you like the band Everclear?

A friend of mine turned me onto them not that long ago. Although some of their music is not real cool with me (some unneeded profanity) some of it is really good.

I really like a song they do called Santa Monica. They have another one I like called Wonderful. They also do a cover of Van Morrison's classic Brown Eyed Girl that is pretty cool too (although not as good as the original).

Have any of you heard any of these songs or even of the band Everclear? If so, what do you think?

The only song I'm familiar with with Everclear is from the Santana album, Supernatural, "Put Your Lights On". That's one of my favorite songs from that album. Is most of their material something like that song?

Sorry, when Googling Everclear and Santana, I found the mistake that prompted me to post the beginning of this post. The song was actually played by Everlast. My mistake.

Never heard of them. But, you can listen to them here.

That's what I was talking about when I said I didn't like all of their music. I don't even understand why people would want to listen to all of that profanity. I'm sure they record it because there are people (I would supect mostly kids) who do like to hear that though.

Anybody on here like COUNTRY? I was country when country wasn't cool.

I worked my way thru college playing C&W music in redneck bars in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in the early 70's. I love C&W music. Now on to Everclear, a very respectable band musically. Although there lyric's are a bit on the dark side but thats the state of todays music. I do like the fact that they are a bit on the edgy side.

I've liked Country since the '50s!

Kat, tkj24 and her sister talked me into going to a concert at Freedom Hall in Johnson City, Tn. They assured me it was rock and country. Well anyhow, the rock turned out to be............................Billy Crash Craddock!! I sat through a whole country concert with them. Then we saw George Jones another time, he was to drunk to sing 30 min. My feet about froze off that time. I got alot of laughs.
tkj24 did go see REO Speedwagon at Freedom Hall with us. Then there was Red Gate in Knoxville, Tn................Wow

I sure remember Red Gate and Alabama. I remember you ask some one where you could find a coke and they thought you meant cocaine. Were they ever wrong you were about 8 months pregnant.

I listen to some country now and then. I like Travis Tritt, Garth Brooks, Blackhawk, and some others. I used to listen to a lot of older country years ago. Lots of Merle Haggard, Waylon & Willie, Conway Twitty, etc.

Most country I hear on the radio anymore isn't too country at all. Just a lot of guys who sound like girls, singing mostly sappy love songs. But, I still like some of the newer stuff. Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Alan Jackson and some others.

My iPod has Everclear, Nirvana, and Oasis playing non-stop
