oh my god........thats what my grand'ma always said too.........:(

Certainly, why else does my cat get spooked at night and the doorbell ring at 2 or 3 in the morning and nobody's there?

We call our ghost Clarence, cuz he owned my home when he died (not here tho).

I don't really know. I find it kinda hard to believe but there is just so many stories out there for it to be false.

Be quiet you punk rookie :p :p just kidding. Man when is that cake going to be eatin?

oh thank you..................

halloween is my favorite hoilday............love it...........oh good another ghost believer...............see we are EVERYWHERE.........

I do.

I lived at Ft. Riley for a while which is haunted in several buildings. You go in one and the hairs on your arm stand up and you can almost feel that there is someone there. When we moved out of our base housing, the next five families that moved in left quickly for silly reasons like parts of the house would get chilly when they walked into certain rooms. Really strange.

Hey sis, LOVE your Avatar...way beautiful!!

No cake for me, but thanks for the offer.......unless it's CHEESECAKE!!!!!

I have some friends that are visited by ghosts, and saw an interesting image myself when I was with one of them. I believe ghosts are actually a part of our subconscious that we have never been able to fully understand. Are they real? Just depends one what your perception of reality is.

I would agree that they are subconscious and that we will never be able to explain it. I still love Halloween and all the ghost stories though, make for some good times.

Oh yea, when I go to Hooters for Halloween dinner, I hope they are dressed in costumes. :D

Ciggie, is there such a thing as Halloween dinner??? I thought those girls were always dressed in costumes. lol

For me, ghosts are real. I have had 3 different experiences that could only be explained as something paranormal. Its kinda funny though, most of the weird stuff happens to my wife while I am gone. Doors shutting, lights turning out. She hears the sound of feet across the kitchen floor, but there is no one there.

If so, you should ask yourself if it is really going to bother me. :D

Well, the interesting thing is the more you "believe" in ghosts, the more likely you are willing to rule out other things. Doors shutting is a common one, but can be cause by wind or pressure in a house (when someone opens a door, another can slam even in a different part of the house). Lights flickering or turning off, that one can either be caused by faulty wiring or insects in your walls.

I don't actually "believe" in ghosts. But I've found being completely skeptical doesn't always work either. Case in point. Three of my friends were once driving somewhere but they were taking some back roads to try and get there. When turning onto one road, they all immediately felt strange. They continued down the road, but all felt like something was wrong as they passed a house on their side. As they approached a fence, one girl broke into tears and they my friend who was driving turned around and got out of there. Talking to eachother later, they all realized that they had envisioned a young girl being chased through the house and something terrible happening at the fence (they went into more detail than that, but this is the best I can describe it. They also felt an ax was involved). When they got back home, they did some research on the house and found out they were unfortunately very correct. About 70 years ago, a family was murdered inside the house by an angry neighbor. To make it simple, I'll say he killed the entire family with an ax, but there was a young girl that was not home from school yet. The killer, who was an ex-bf, and his father were waiting inside the house for the girl. When the girl came inside, she noticed... there was a problem... and ran outside. She made it as far as the fence my friends had approached before being subdued and killed my the two men.

My answer to my friends? Well... saying it's just coincedence gets old after awhile, and it ignores the fact that there might be something more to the human mind than we understand. I still don't "believe" in ghosts, but i don't chastise people who do.

On a brighter note, I'd like to say I'm looking forward to finding some ghosts with Jim at Hooters next Thursday. I'm coming dressed in my shirt that says "Costume" on the front.

No, I'm not a huge Brett Bodine fan, but I can respect his wholsome family-style restaurant, Hooters. :p

I'm just curious as to why they don't put TV spots on during the race. Since you never see the car during the race, I think that this would help their business tremendously.

Clarence just rang the doorbell again!!

Are you jealous coonhound?? The voices are not talking to YOU??

Do you have any pets? They are great at killing vermin!

:D I do belive in spooks I do i do belive in spooks. Quote forn the Wizard of Oz.

I have had my own strange experiences with what I believe are ghosts, been locked out of my house by them. My cat went nuts oneday and tried to attack nothing, my hound stares at things in corners all the time, overall weird stuff.

I guess I believe in them, even though I have never seen one.

There's a big difference b/w the unexplained and the unexplainable. The unexplained like a cat going nuts oneday could be explained if a bug was crawling around that the cat noticed or a piece of dust landed on it's nose. The unexplainable is when you sense something or see something that you would like to make out as being fake or unreal and that you try to convince yourself it as being coincedence when it comes true. I've oversimplifying a bit, but I think that makes sense.

It all comes down to if you want to believe you will believe. But when something happens that is unexplainable... well, then you have to wonder.
