My dad just showed me an article, it says dodge is pulliong out of the truck series next year!!! I never knew!

what???????????? First i have heard of this, where did your dad see the article?

I did not think they were totally pulling out just phasing down support. Was that not the reason Steve Park lost his ride???

Guess they figured they were getting there arses handed to them quite regular in the truck series, they better get ready for Toyota to enter Cup.

I think they just want to win period. Daimler isn't going to sit back much longer and watch the Fords, Chevys, and soon Toyotas kick their butts in Cup. I think they will always be a presence in Trucks, they have shown they can win there, so why leave? I thought this thread was about them totally withdrawing from trucks, kind of scared me there....lol!!

I heard Brenden Gaughan talking about it at the Martinsville Race (At least I think it was Martinsville). Dodge is no longer going to give manufacture support to the trucks; however teams are still able to run Dodge's next season. Brendon said Dodge no longer giving manufacture support was the reason the team let Steve Park go. They just didn't have the funding needed to run without that help from Dodge. Without manufacture support I don't really know how any team will be successful, but given the performance of Dodge in the Cup series they really need to put all their eggs in one basket.

make way for Kia!

I just commente dthis morning to a co-worker that in a few years Cup will be Honda, Toyota, Kia, and Hyundai becasue Ford, Chevy and Dodge will be exporting thier car building to other countries while the others build them in the US, LOL

yup.

BDR is running cup without factory support isnt he? Because he runs whatever in cup and toyota in trucks?
