How are these things still being used? I thought you could only use an outdated model for 2 or 3 years. Penske hasn't been making any Challengers since 2012.

Exactly, that is part of the rule, but the Challenger is not an outdate model , its still begin made , so teams can still use the body, the rule is for when a manufacture stops making a model, like the Chevy SS for example. Penske wasnt the only game in town making bodies.

Loved the look of that car. I raced the 56 version. Sunday evening were used to put most glass and lights back in the car. I won a lot of last place finishes with that car. Many never finished. LOL

It sounds like you're describing my first car. A 1950 Ford Custom Deluxe Bullet nose. Just like this one but It was Ivory colored. I could mow down 6 inch pine trees with that thing without a scratch.
