Does anyone know if Kyle Busch...

...can leave the track today leading all 3 series - they haven't mentioned it

Ironic that Hendrick dropped Busch for Earnhardt and the media drops Earnhardt to ramble on about Busch.

Either way, I can see that #18 winning this or making a big ole mess of things.

As of yesterday, Kyle if my new favorite driver!

BTW, in points hes 1st, 1st and 2nd.

I wasn't a Kyle Bush fan at all. But after how he drove that dirt late model at Eldora in the Prelude and signing with Gibbs, ol' Rowdy is starting to rub off on me some. He's definitely fun to watch.

Its funny how Kyle horse around while he was at Hendrick..wrecking and whatever and now he's trying to actually race decently.

Guess he got the message now.

I expect it has to do with the fact that he's 21 years old. His present situation is a lot of pressure for someone that young. I think he's handling it quite well. An amazingly talented young driver with a huge future ahead of him.

Now, all of a sudden, people like the guy. I tried to tell you people last year but no, Gordon this, Jr. that.

I will say this though. If Gibbs can keep Tony in line then Kyle is no problem.

Sledge i agree with you. I wonder what they will be saying when Busch wins the cup

It is only 2 races in and everyone knows Hendrick will ramp it up, especially near the end of the season.

I hope to see Gibbs, Roush and Hendrick in a close battle near the end. Not just one team being so dominant like last year. So far all three look really good.

You are forgeting the Doge Boys, look for Kane and the penske team to do well this year.

So, it sounds like everyone thinks that Chevy, Dodge, Ford, and Toyota are somewhat equal this year and it is anybody's race to the Championship.

btw, Kurt and Jr are tied for the total amount of wins with 17 each. Kyle has a grand total of 4.

Jr - 17 wins in 293 races for an avg of 1 win every 17 races

Kurt - 17 wins in 258 races for an avg of 1 win every 15 races.

Kyle - 4 wins in 116 races for an avg of 1 win every 29 races

That stat will change with Kyle in time. They still have more than double the amount of race experience. Give Kyle the same amount of experience as Jr. and I'll bet he will have more wins. On the other hand, Jr. has had two bad seasons in a row, there are quite a few races he could have won if not for bad luck, so this could be a good one for him to bump up his stats.

Some (but not all) of Kyle's bad luck is from his driving style. Not anything to do with luck.

I was talking about Jrs bad luck. He should have more wins than he does.

Why more wins?

Last year he was running good when he blew all those engines but no where near contending for wins.

And see that's the problem. Don't all those other drivers know he's Dale "by God the greatest driver to ever put on a firesuit" Earnhardt Jr. and they need to pull over and get out of his way when they see him coming.
I don't even know why Nascar doesn't go ahead and give him a 10 lap lead just in case he has a problem. Like a hangnail or something.
Just ask the Red Army, oh wait, I mean the Green and White Army, or, or, well what the heck color are they now since he went and sold his soul to the Debil for a few wins...

And how many times has he said himself that his driving style was the cause of engine failures?

Was it the truth, false modesty or flat out lying?

Earnhardt has no worse luck than any other driver and to suggest that someone else didn't deserve to win a race because of it is ridiculous, IMO.

There are 43 drivers entered in the races and another half dozen or so that don't make the field. Dale, Jr is one of the top 10 and in pretty good company I believe.

What I find hilarious are the people that criticize him because he is liked by the fans. Jr is a good guy and treats friends well.

Jr was beating the hell out of everyone in the last richmond race until his **** blew up. There is one of the top of my head. I don't like Jr so I have no idea why I'm defending him. Screw it. Who cares.
