Does anyone know the value of the NASCAR 1/64th transporters. I have a collection from the late 1980's and early 1990's with a transporter from every team that had them available. Some were, at one time, worth $100.00 each and some are special in their own right. Example, the Folgers Coffee transporter with the number "6" in different designs was a rarity. The first Richard Petty transporter, or the Sunoco, Sterling Marlin transporters with differences and these were, at one time, worth substantially more than the others.
But does that still hold true?
It has been 20 years since I checked the value of these and have no idea if they are worth anything in todays market or not. Having over 135 of them on display in custom showcases and now we are relocating, they must go but like anyone else, I would like to try to sell them for present value rather than break them up. Thing is, I have no idea what current day values are and noting there are so many on here involved in collecting, thought perhaps they might offer some assistance.

You can get an idea from here. This is what these sold for.

That's a start. Thank you. I think the problem is they were around $10.00 when purchased and now are for the most part worth 1/10th of the original value. I figured maybe the ones with errors and their corrected versions might be more valuable.

Stick'em on ebay for $5 each to start and let'em ride. Their value will regulate itself. Most of those in that link that sold were 1/87th. Money is money. Good luck.

Its really hard to say without seeing them. The market is nowhere near what it used to be, so don't expect a big return on them, unfortunately.

As a diecast collector, I might certainly be interested in a couple. :)

It's amazing that most NASCAR collectible prices are in the crapper. I've been trying to sell all mt Rusty Wallace cars and 0.0 interested

I remember there used to be stores that sprouted up that sold Nascar stuff but they all went out of business. There used to be a real Nascar buzz and vibe where I lived as people were in multiple racing leagues, bars and restaurants had signs out front that catered to race fans, lots of food and drink specials and the Coors, AB and Miller reps would show up in different places promoting their products. There were pools and contests, viewing parties and groups that used to go to races together but that all stopped too. It was a lot of fun and I was younger then and enjoyed myself but Nascar might as well be underwater basket weaving in my area as no one seems to give a hoot anymore. There were some tough years but the racing has been good this year.

And yes, I do remember those shops that sold NASCAR things. How right you are they have all gone out of business. The fan base is returning to the way it used to be with the exception of instant communication to tell us if Denny Hamlin farted this morning.
Would not want it to go too far backwards in fan base but it is slowing. (sigh)
