So, 11 races in and Jimmie Johnson is still winless. Earnhardt Jr. and now Gordon has a win before Johnson, next thing you know, Kasey Khane will win the Coca Cola 600, leaving Johnson the only driver in the Hendricks Stable without a win.
It wouldn't be a concern if he was at least consistently finishing in the Top 5 and 10s, but he isn't even doing that this season. I mean he has Top 5 and 10s finishes, but he's also finishing back in the pack more often as well. You can see for yourself.
So...what's going on with the 48 team? Are they just having an off year? Had the zero-ride height rule finally given Chad something he can't figure out and exploit to it's full advantage? Or has the new Chase format finally put an end to Johnson's streak of wins and championships?
It's a little bit weird to not see the 48 in the winner circle by now.
