So, 11 races in and Jimmie Johnson is still winless. Earnhardt Jr. and now Gordon has a win before Johnson, next thing you know, Kasey Khane will win the Coca Cola 600, leaving Johnson the only driver in the Hendricks Stable without a win.

It wouldn't be a concern if he was at least consistently finishing in the Top 5 and 10s, but he isn't even doing that this season. I mean he has Top 5 and 10s finishes, but he's also finishing back in the pack more often as well. You can see for yourself.
So...what's going on with the 48 team? Are they just having an off year? Had the zero-ride height rule finally given Chad something he can't figure out and exploit to it's full advantage? Or has the new Chase format finally put an end to Johnson's streak of wins and championships?

It's a little bit weird to not see the 48 in the winner circle by now.

no worries they will figure it out, if not everyone else will have a win and he will make it on points.:D

Since I've been watching NASCAR, every driver has an off year --- some more often than others. Actually, Jimmie is having a good year --- it just doesn't measure up to his other great years.

Well yea, that's the thing. If it was any other driver, this would be considered a great year for them. However, since it's Johnson, Mr. Six Pack, Mr. 66 wins, It just seems like he should be performing better than he is right now.

Maybe at this point we should all look back and appreciate his 6 championships a bit more.( Its very hard to do what he has done)

We should do that, but I still want them to win 8 championship before Chad moves onto something else. :D

What can I say, I'm very ambitious!

In 1992 Dale Earnhardt had only one win. Some were ready to write him off.

He rebounded and won two titles afterwards.

Wasn't '92 the year NASCAR started using radial tires? I think it was, and it gave DE fits.

"The first race with radials was the 1989 First Union 400 at North Wilkesboro, NC. The last bias-ply race was the 1992 Food City 500 at Bristol, TN."

Per Wikipedia

Damn, I can't edit the title, or I totally would. :D

I hate to perpetuate those childish "care anymore" threads but look on the right, towards the top for a Thread Tools button. It's only there for so long so I imagine you may have missed it but it for future reference.

Yea, I missed the window, ah well.

dover is coming up soon...I expect JJ to get the job done there................for only a 9th time

It would be nice to see him miss the chase for once.

If they are winless with a few races before the chase... look for cheatin Chad to step up.

No he doesn't care anymore. Time to quit NASCAR and go run street stocks.

Whomever edited the title, thank you! Maybe this will bring Johnson a Win! :D

Look for cars that were strong in Atlanta to be strong in Charlotte

The six pack needs to be sculpted a bit more. He will be fine, I'd say within the next three races he will win.

It's already been made, it's the Dale Jr scared to race at Dega thread..

This thread might have been funny if... oh wait... never mind I was thinking of something else... Not funny.... it got old already. Fail.

Here's a question worth asking...

"Does Anyone Even Care Anymore About These Does So And So Even Care Anymore Threads?"

:D

These "does X person even care anymore" threads remind me of fits from 5 year old girls.
Yet you opened it up, most likely knowing full well what was going to be in it, and even took the time to cry about it.

Talk about childish.
