I've been watching the History Channel's program, Dogfights from seasons one and two and have found some really interesting shows. Has anyone else seen any of these shows? Each episode is devoted to either a certain type of aircraft, or a situation. If you have Netflix, the first season can be watched online. I've been watching the second season with the DVDs. The show has absolutely magnificent computer generated animation of the aircraft and what a job they do. You will also get to listen to many of the pilots who were in the dogfights and they show the various manuevers that were used to gain an advantage. You will be able to see dogfighting from the first world war to the jets of Desert Storm.

Ever see a B17 take on a bunch of Japanese Zeroes? Did you know that the first AND last Mig that was shot down in the Viet Nam war was by Navy pilots from the aircraft carrier USS Midway? Lots more, lots and lots. If you like military aircraft, you'll love this series.

I watch the military channel on occasion. Mostly checking out various weapon systems I've had a part writing, well mostly monitoring writing that was contracted out, that had sophisticated communications equipment installed in them. I was a civilian Technical Writer/Communications for the Army for 26 years.

Agree they have some great stuff on the military channel :)
