This is a quote from professional women's basketball player, Brittney Griner. After four years of "education" at Baylor University, this is how she described an incident in which she and, reportedly, two of her teammates were attacked in China by a whack job with a knife. Fortunately, she was only nicked on the elbow and is otherwise physically fine. However, the same can not be said about her English skills.

"First let me say I'm ok!!!! But last night me and 3 my teammates got chase and attack by a man with a big ass knife got a little scratch and my teammates walk away unharmed! He chase us into our bus and had us corned yelling at us then he finally left! Ugh lets just say I'm ready to get out this city we are visiting! Life can be took at any moment! Cherish every moment! AGAIN IM OK! Thank you to everyone that has been checking on me!"

Yeah, typing can be deceiving and is not always an appropriate indicator of intelligence/education level.

My mom is a very smart lady with an MBA, and she types like that in text messages and stuff. Sure, she generally uses proper grammar, but everything is always in all lowercase, she uses all sorts of lazy abbreviations like "u" instead of you, etc. LOL.
