I shudder to think how many gallons of that stuff I drank as a kid. After I left Alabama, I didn't see if for years. I started running across it when I would to go the beach in North Carolina and I would always bring back a couple of 12 packs. Now I can find it everywhere....Its lost a little of its allure since then.

Straight coke, not diet, will take oil stains out of the driveway. Pour it on, wait then rinse off.
Fellow gearheads! 90w gear oil has to be the worst, seems like nothing gets it out of your clothes. Throw a can of coke in when you wash them. Then a second can after you take your clothes out to clean the innards of your washing machine before your wife's danties go in. DAMHIKT.

It's more the foaming action than anything else. Coke itself has a rather high Ph from carbolic, phosphoric and citric acids and will actually eventually cause corrosion. The acids will clean the metal terminals and the foaming action will loosen the corrosion but none of the ingredients in Coca-Cola will neutralize the corrosion on the battery terminals.
Try baking soda and water next time
