For those who don't truly understand land speed records and the Bonneville Salt Flats (and I count myself as one of those), this video won't help you to really "get it." But a glimmer of appreciation is surely to be had just by following the progress through the gearbox. Hint: revving through 2nd gear consumes one mile, and reaching 6th requires almost five miles.
