Hairball run for JJ to grab the pole. He was 19th in first practice. I figure he won't lead very long before someone dumps him.

Nah, I think Jimmie Johnson will finish in the top 5.

Some more detail on Mark Martin's infraction.....

Mark Martin had his qualifying time disallowed Friday at Dover International Speedway for a right rear shock that exceeded maximum allowable gas pressure.

The Hendrick Motorsports driver, who has suffered through a disappointing season in missing the Chase For The Sprint Cup, posted the third-quickest time in qualifying on the 1-mile concrete track.

NASCAR officials discovered the infraction in post-qualifying inspection.

With the time disallowed, Martin will start 42nd in Sunday’s AAA 400. NASCAR takes drivers in the top 35 in owner points and then the seven fastest drivers from outside the top 35 and starts them first through 42nd based on their qualifying time. Because Martin officially had no time, he was last among that group.

The 43rd spot is reserved for a past champion or the next quickest driver left on speed.

NASCAR spokesman Ramsey Poston said there would be no additional penalties for Martin or the No. 5 team.

Hendrick teammate Jimmie Johnson won the pole for Sunday's race.
