Dover CWTS Race Thread...

I do the same thing in a way, I try to ignore the obvious mismatch in talent and resources. Today isn't any different, the biggest miss match is Gibbs. Gibbs has four cars in the race all driven by cup regulars. All of them have competed in cup races this year. If every other top cup team did that, there would be a real screaming outcry on this board. :) The drivers I like to watch are the younger drivers, Larson, Bowman, and even Ty Dillon, and Jeffery Earnhardt. I expect today's' race to be pretty lopsided, but I hope not.

The thing is all of us would be doing what Kyle does if we had the talent and the opportunity.

Most of his peers who actually do have both don't do it nearly as often as he does. Sometimes Brad and Joey will run for BKR and Harvick for NTS Motorsports but far less regularly than Kyle. Same thing in the Nationwide Series. I think he's set to run 25 races in the #54 this year; I can't think of another driver going to run that many. Possibly Keselowski.

I wasn't speaking about his peers. I said, "us." I know damn well I'd do it if I had the opportunity.
Some drivers run better in the Cup Series when they get more seat time in Nationwide. Kyle is one of them. Kyle also apparently likes to race.
If you look at the Cup Series alone, the field is divided by the "haves" and the "have-nots." There's always going to drivers that have better equipment/resources than other drivers. The talented drivers will find a way to make the best of what they have, (example: Kurt Busch.)
As I previously suggested, those of you that are disturbed enough by Kyle running in the Truck and Nationwide Series' that you feel you have to publicly express your displeasure, maybe you should only tune into the Sunday race. This way, you'll only have two things to squeak about; Kyle winning or Kyle taking someone out. :D

guess Ricky Cravens needs to not watch today either. He just said on national TV, that Kyle Busch is a pro quarterback playing in a college game with a team like Alabama.(Gibbs)

I am torn on cup drivers running busch and truck races. I think its good that the young guys get to compete with the best of the best but it gets old with them winning every race. Plus, its hard to compete against basically a Gibbs or rousch car with their resources.
