I watched the meager ABC post race coverage, The Speed Report, NASCAR Victory Lane, and Wind Tunnel but never did see any reactions from some of the principal players in yesterday's race, including second place finisher Kasey Khane, Tony Stewart, Juan Montoya, or Carl Edwards. I wonder if they refused comment, or if it was felt that Newman, Gordon and Martin by his terse comments "said it all"?

I think ABC saw their opportunity to jump to other programming at the top of the hour and ran with it.

I noticed that myself. Almost like the shows were trying to avoid someone saying anything negative about the race. Nascarnow only touched on the Newman crash for about a minute and Lajoie made it seem like it was no big deal.

My biggest problem with ABC's coverage was my local affiliate's non existent pre-race coverage. I sat down @ noon to watch some of the coverage only to be presented with some children's programming. WTAE in Pittsburgh, PA is horrible!
