Driver Report Cards

They have the quarterly driver repord card up at Nascar.com (http://www.nascar.com/2003/news/opinion/rodman/04/17/rodman_column/index.html)

I don't really agree with this guy on his grades, but they are his opinion.

I was shocked he gave Tony Raines a D this quarter, despite the success they have been having for a team that has no major sponsor. They've made all the races and they got a 16th at Talladega, I thought that was pretty darn good.

They're starting out a lot better than BAM started out, and look at BAM now. They just got their first top-10 this past weekend with Ken Schrader, Ken's first top-10 in two years.

There are always critics. It just makes these small teams have to work harder to prove themselves.

Nope, can't see that Raines gets a "D"

Can't see that Busch doesn't get an "A" either.

I cant see that Ward or Kenny W. gets a D, probably more like a C, but thats just my opinon.

The Florida Today Newspaper gave a pretty fair assessment. I don't agree with the grade he gave Michael Waltrip, but he backed it up with sufficient reasoning. The FoxSports one was just crap. It was just seeing how many drivers it could list for a grade, and then describe a few.

It's all opinion based. I'm sure if I came up with a report card for drivers and put my reasoning behind them, I'm sure not everyone would agree with me.

I just don't like it when people say something and don't back it up. The one on Nascar.com just started listing drivers and giving a grade w/o any reason. Tony Raines gets a D. Why? You would think these people are professional writers, why are they not backing up their own points?
