Drivers like Haas CNC penalties

Getting Sprint Cup drivers to concur on some subjects isn't easy. But as for opinions of the penalties levied against Haas CNC Racing earlier this week, most of the garage area seemed to agree Friday at Dover International Speedway that harsh sanctions are both in order and to be expected for violations with NASCAR's new generation race car. "It's been pretty consistent as far as how [NASCAR] has reacted," Richard Childress Racing's Kevin Harvick said. "I think the precedent was set a long time ago as far as what the penalty would be. When you start messing with the wing brackets and the templates and things on the cars, they've been pretty consistent about that. As a competitor, the main thing you want to ask for is consistency. And the consistency has shown up in all the penalties."
