and what did you think of them???

I am not a starstruck kind of person!!! If I did have the chance to meet one of them I would just ask how there day was going and may be shake there hand... A signature on a piece of paper my only last a couple of years but a hand shake is a memory that will last for your life... JMO
 
The only driver I have actually met was Kevin Lepage. He was a very nice person. Got his autograph, too. There are more that I would like to actually speak to, but I am the same, don't get too star struck. Have actually met more Country music singers than a person from any other profession. Hung out with Toby Keith one night not too long ago. He is a blast!
 
I have meet Kenny Shrader and Kenny Wallace. (asked kenny if he had a # for a Mr Jeff Gordon......staker 2 ad 2002)

I met Red Farmer when I was just a kid.He is a great guy and I have talked to him a dozen or more times over the years around Hueytown.Bobby Allison,I have met and spoken with several times too.Along with Cliff Allison,Davey and Donnie once or twice.And Waymond Lane Stricklin is a buddy of mine from his mom's junkyard in Calera.

I met Neil Bonnett out at BIR around 20 years or so ago,and know his son David pretty well.

Of the current drivers I havent personally met any of them except Chad Little.A bit of irony is that the first driver I met(Red) had the number #97....and the last driver I met(Chad) had the same number!

All those guys are down to earth folks,not celebrity type guys at all.Bobby even had his phone number listed in the phone book until he moved from Hueytown.Not the kind of thing you would see from todays pop-culture,mtv and snl type drivers.Just a different breed of cat these days,I guess. :(
 
Red Farmer, Bobby Allison,Cliff,Davey and Donnie... Man I am jealous... When I made that posting this morning I wasn't really thinking of the old timers!!! May be I would be star struck!!! You are right about the Drivers today!!! I almost fell on the floor when Jimmy Johnson said that he has nothing to do with the car at all!!! He justs drives it!!! Man that isn't the school where I came from!!!
 
Ive met Kyle and RIchard but I met all the busch drivers that raced in 1994 at Orange County speedway in nc and I also met the Burton boys when they raced there a while backq
 
I've only met one current driver and that was Bobby Labonte way back in 1991 when he was in the Busch series.

He visited a local Library that I worked at and stayed for long after he was scheduled to leave. He was great with the kids and signed so many autographs I wondered how he was going to drive that night.
 
I met Kevin Lepage back in 2000. he was doing a digning at a Ford Dealership here in Jersey. There wasn't many fans there so I got to talk to him for a few minutes and get him to sign two cars for me.

During the last two years I met Greg Biffle, David Green, Larry Foyt, and Tony Raines at an Auotshow they do every year out in PA.

I've met quite a few drivers, but I was so nervous when I met Richard Petty for the 1st time...my hands were shaking so bad that the people behind me asked if I was going to be o.k. :lol:

I have only met two drivers! Loy Allen Jr ( what ever happened to him?) and Greg Ray (IRL driver)
I have seen alot of the ford drivers from 1996 but i did not meet any of them. In Indy Ford holds a ford fan day before the Brickyard 400 and we went once!
